Big Hair

An after work special. Cropped to hide the unfinished bits. She is meant to have more face jewelery too (well, a bedazzled headband thing), but it's bedtime. The first CG painting I've done in ages that I'm semi-happy to show.

A nice full figure shot might have shown a barbarian warrior woman who might have been at home on a heavy metal album cover from the 70s if:
a) I had of painted it that size; and
b) I was as good as those album artists

But, yeah happy with bits of it. I'm subscribed to ImagineFX magazine, and used some tips from there.

It's been months since I touched my Wacom, so I had to post whatever came out of the end. I had to!

Tiefling Ahoy!

More Dungeons and Dragons inspired stuff - a Tiefling Warlock don't you know! Not my character or nothing, but you know, they have tails and horns. Well, one tail and two horns each. Assuming there haven't been any accidents. But one tail, two horns are the maximum per Tiefling, as I understand it.

But yeah, horns and a tail are hot.

They are! Shut up!

New site background

Mucking about with some elements on this blog, to scoot it a little bit away from the "template look", but you know, not too much. My lovely lady suggested using the following page of my sketchbook as a background. Alas my sketchbook is bigger than A4, so I took a photo of it, fixed it up a bit in Photieshop, and here it is!

Back to my roots

As time between drawings grows ever longer, I find I've gone back to what I like drawing. Fantasy. And women. Perhaps because I have 4th Edition Dungeons and Dragons on my mind. Hey! I've quit World of Warcraft by the way! But only because I've discovered Age of Conan. This started as just a sketch of one of my Age of Conan characters, and then the background came later, hence the strange composition. I actually sat down last night with the idea of drawing goblins, and lots of them, but ended up finishing this sketch off. Done with pencils and smudge stick.

Sketchbook dump #1 - or "bums bums bums!"

You thought I'd stopped drawing altogether hadn't you? Well, I might have slowed down, but I was still scribbling! Now I have two sketchbooks - my "work" sketchbook, for when I'm slacking off of work, or it's my lunch break or whatever, and then there's my "home" sketchbook, which is bigger and doesn't fit in my bag. Now, to continue this riveting story, my work sketchbook is more like my "take everywhere" sketchbook, because it's smaller you see. So, not all of these sketches were done at work. That's the point I'm trying to convey. I don't want to give you all the wrong impression. And by "you all" I mean my girlfriend and the spambot spiders farming for email addresses. Like this one: Tony.Danza@gmail.com (GO NUTS!)

Um, so yeah. This is a dump of the work sketchbook. I like bottoms. I drew some. I also tried to draw the corset thingy the evil witch lady from the "Tinman" mini-series wore, because it was HAWT!

Next post might be a dump of the Home Sketchbook. What fun!
